Private Excursion to Osaka from Kyoto

Osaka is one of Japan’s most modern, populous, and lively cities. On this excursion, we will explore its main points of interest, including some of the most fascinating neighborhoods and nightlife areas.

Itinerary

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Kyoto and head to the central station to take a train to Osaka.

Upon arrival in Osaka, our first stop will be the Hideyoshi Castle, an iconic Japanese landmark and a symbol of the city. Did you know it was built in the 16th century? We will admire its façade and reveal its fascinating history.

Next, we will explore Shinsekai, which translates to New World in Spanish. This neighborhood is one of the most famous in Japan due to its controversial history, its street food stalls, the largest public bathhouse in Asia (SPA World), and the 13-meter-tall metal tower, Tsutenkaku.

Here, you will have free time for lunch. If you’d like, you can try the local specialty, kushi-katsu, delicious skewers of thinly sliced meat, breaded and deep-fried.

In the afternoon, we will dive into Osaka’s otaku subculture by visiting Nipponbashi, also known as Den-Den Town. This area is Osaka’s equivalent of Akihabara in Tokyo.

Afterward, we will visit Namba, one of Osaka’s main commercial and entertainment hubs. We will stroll through its bustling shopping streets until we reach Dotonbori, the city’s most vibrant and colorful nightlife and dining area—perhaps even the liveliest in all of Japan.

The tour concludes with a train ride back to Kyoto’s central station, arriving after eight hours of activity.
