Itinerary
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in central Nara to begin a private walking tour through this ancient city. Our first stop will be Naramachi, the former merchant district.
Next, we will visit Nara Park, home to the city’s famous deer, which roam freely. From there, we’ll head to the iconic Nandai-mon Gate, one of the most remarkable wooden gates in Nara. Do you know why it is so significant?
After a short break for you to enjoy lunch at your own pace, we will explore the majestic Todaiji Temple. Did you know it houses the largest wooden structure in the world? Inside, we will admire the impressive Great Buddha Statue, which stands in the temple’s main hall.
Our final stop will be at Kasuga Taisha Shrine. This spiritual site has been rebuilt multiple times over the centuries. After exploring this sacred place, we will return to your hotel in Nara. The tour will conclude approximately eight hours after pickup.

This private tour includes pickup and drop-off at major hotels in central Nara. If you are arriving in Nara from another city in Japan, we will meet at the designated time at Nara Central Station to begin the tour.
